Asia’s Islamic Extremists Add Beheadings to their Arsenal
NA PRADU, Thailand - It took two days for the young Muslim assassin to calm his nerves before the slaying.
Then, Mohama Waekaji says, he walked one cool morning to a rice mill, carrying a knife and following orders from a guerrilla commander to behead the 72-year-old Buddhist owner.
He asked the elderly man, Juan Kaewtongprakam, for some rice husks. As he turned to collect them, Waekaji says, he slashed the blade through the man’s neck.
‘I didn’t dare to disobey,’ the 23-year-old Waekaji said in an interview with The Associated Press _ the first time a Thai militant accused of a beheading has spoken to the Western media. ‘I knew they would come after me if I did not do what I was told.’
The killing in February was one in a spate of beheadings that has shocked Thailand , a nation with no past history of the practice, and fueled fears that the brutal terrorist tactics of the Middle East are spreading in Asia .
Twenty-five beheadings _ including 10 already this year _ have been reported in southern Thailand since an Islamic-inspired insurgency erupted in 2004, claiming more than 2,200 lives.
Militants in the heavily Muslim region seek independence from mostly Buddhist Thailand.
‘Beheadings are certainly on the rise outside of the Middle East proper,’ said Timothy Furnish, professor of Middle Eastern history at Georgia Perimeter College . ‘These groups do take their cues from ... hardcore Islamic thought coming out of the Arab world. Beheading infidels not only shocks, but also demonstrates Islamic bona fides to other groups.’
Thai authorities say jihad videos from the Middle East , captured from rebel training camps, may be inspiring young men like Waekaji. One clip said to have come from Iraq shows a woman lying on her side on a patch of grass as a man slowly cuts her throat with a long knife.
Blood spurts from the wound, the screaming finally stops and her head is completely severed.
‘The inspiration is clearly coming across the Internet or through DVDs clips,’ said Zachary Abuza, an expert on terrorism in Southeast Asia at Simmons College in Boston .
‘Islamist militants in Southeast Asia are very frustrated that the region is considered the Islamic periphery,’ Abuza added. ‘...
Militants of the region are actively trying to pull the region into the Islamic core. They want people to understand that their jihad is a part of the global jihad.’
Beheadings have been linked to other militants across Asia, including groups in Afghanistan , Pakistan , Indian-held Kashmir and Indonesia , the world’s most populous Muslim nation. In the mostly Roman Catholic Philippines , at least 37 people have been decapitated in the last decade by the al-Qaida-linked Abu Sayyaf.
Beheadings are not solely a tool of guerrillas. Its imposed as punishment under some strict interpretations of Islamic law such as in Saudi Arabia and under the former Taliban regime in Afghanistan .
Waekaji’s account of his journey _ from quiet, average student to a confessed killer _ offers insights into how young Muslims fall under the influence of militant Islamic thinking.
He was attending a private Islamic school in Pattani province when a school buddy persuaded him to join a religious event at a mosque. There ‘ustad,’ or teachers, told him about an organization to liberate southern Thailand, asking him to take an oath to become a servant of Allah, obey the teachers and take the secrets of the organization to his grave.
Although confused and with little knowledge of politics, he took the oath and began secret training at age 19.
His teachers stressed the sufferings of Muslims in Palestine and Afghanistan and also in Thailand , where many Muslims feel they are second-class citizens in a Buddhist-dominated land.
The teachers detailed the Tak Bai tragedy of 2004 when Thai security forces confronted Muslim protesters, resulting in the deaths of 85. The victims died of suffocation when authorities arrested 1,300 people and stacked them on top of each other in trucks.
‘I was shaken when I heard the story. I was revengeful and I did hate them, those who did this to us Muslims,’ Waekaji said at the prison in Na Pradu, about 680 miles south of Bangkok .
His story could not be independently confirmed, but Waekaji has made a formal written confession and the police have filed a case against him in criminal court.
During rigorous training, he learned how to do knuckle push-ups, wield knives, swords and guns and how to take a life by squeezing an opponent’s Adam’s apple with his hands or breaking a victim’s neck.
After two years, he was sent out to burn tires and spread nails on roads to puncture tires and distract police before attacks staged by his comrades.
‘They recruit responsible, tight-lipped and trouble-free teenagers ... people who can carry out orders and who don’t attract attention to themselves,’ said Thai army Col. Shinawat Mandej. ‘They train their minds before training their bodies. They get them at the most vulnerable age when they need something to believe in and turn them into cold-blooded killers.’
When the order came to slay the mill owner _ a person he had seen but didn’t know _ Waekaji said he was frightened, both by the orders and what his leaders would do to him if he failed.
‘It was too late to want out,’ he said, his eyes closed and his head downcast. ‘It was either me or him.’
Police found the man’s headless body at the rice mill and his head in a nearby field that separates Muslim and Buddhist villages. Waekaji was arrested and charged with the killing about two months later.
Leaflets left in mailboxes and motorcycle baskets in Pattani the day of the beheading warned: ‘We will give Thai Buddhists three days to leave our land. Otherwise, we will kill you and burn your houses. ... Thai Buddhists will never live peacefully. You will be killed cruelly.’

CHINA WORRIED BY CONTAMINATED EXPORTS
China, a traditional source of cheap goods, has become an alarmingly top exporter of tainted and dangerous products to the United States, triggering concerns among consumers and regulators.
Reports of tainted pet foods, dangerous toys, fake drugs, toxin-coated monkfish and cosmetics, drug-laced frozen eel, illicit pesticide-laden mushrooms and other products have led to recalls and bans and potentially more stringent import and food safety laws.
Thousands of cats and dogs died recently after eating food made from wheat gluten spiked with melamine, a chemical used in fertilizers, prompting one of the largest pet-food recalls in US history.
Made-in-China toothpaste have also been blacklisted, fearing it may contain potentially deadly chemical reportedly found in tubes sold in Australia and elsewhere.
The concerns were compounded by the recall last week by a US company of 1.5 million of the wildly popular "Thomas and Friends" wooden train toys manufactured in China coated with potentially poisonous lead paint.
Chinese-made fireworks for the July 4 US Independence Day celebrations have also fallen into the blacklist, with reports that at least two types of such explosives have been recalled amid worries they could "travel in unexpected and dangerous directions" and pose "special hazards to eyes and bystanders."
"I think we have reached a point unfortunately where 'made in China' is now a warning label in the United States," said Democratic Senator Richard Durbin, a top campaigner in the US Congress for tighter food safety laws.
The Illinois lawmaker and another senator, Rosa DeLauro from Connecticut, held joint talks with US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Andrew von Eschenbach and the Chinese ambassador, Zhou Wenzhong, in Washington over the contaminated shipments of food products from China.
They secured a commitment from the Chinese government and the FDA that they would work towards a mutual agreement to improve inspections and overall safety of food products and drugs, said a statement from the two senators.
"This proposed agreement between the FDA and the Chinese government is a significant breakthrough in terms of food safety -- and American consumers stand to be the big winners," Durbin said.
China and the FDA currently do not have a binding agreement on food and drugs, there is no standard safety regulations between the two systems, and there are no mechanisms in place to inspect food production facilities and secure travel visas for investigations, the statement said.
The food safety problem surprisingly took center stage at the high level US-China Economic dialogue last month led by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi.
Following her return, China promised to overhaul its food safety rules.
"The top priority for building a food safety standards system is to revise as soon as possible the rules for farm produce and processed food," said the director of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, Liu Pingjun, in Beijing this week.
In another sign of official determination to head off growing concern over shoddy or even deadly food and drug products emanating from Chinese factories, Beijing sentenced the former head of China's food and drug agency to death on a corruption conviction.
China, which exports about two billion dollars each year in food products to the United States, is a top violator of American food safety standards, according to US authorities.
In April, for example, the authorities rejected 257 Chinese food shipments -- far more than from any other country, media reports said.
The safety concerns over Chinese products could fuel demands in Congress, already worried about a ballooning trade deficit, for protectionist laws, experts said.
"At a time when Congress is keenly focused on the large and growing trade imbalance with China, this situation could be the kindling for trade protectionist legislation that is circulating in (Washington) DC," said Andrew Busch, a global currency strategist with BMO Capital Markets.
Lawmakers are already complaining that Beijing has been artificially weakening its currency in a bid to flood the United States with cheap imports that they say is posing a threat to some US industries and manufacturing employment.
China is the second largest source of imports for the United States while the United States is China's largest overseas market and second largest source of foreign direct investment.

POVERTY IN IRAN INCREASED BY REGIME EXPORTING FUNDS
A look into some policies inside Iran:

“As someone who has for years been involved in the financial and armaments dealings of the Islamic regime with the Lebanese branch of Hezbollah, I felt I should impart some of the reliable information. Between the years 2003 and 2004 the equivalent of six billion dollars of income from oil sales went missing and it was not clear how and in what way it had been spent.
After complaints about this matter intensified, in the private meetings of the Islamic regime’s parliament (known as Majless) it was announced that ‘that sum had been set aside as a cash reserve for emergency situations’.
But soon after it came to light that at the order of Mr. Khamenei, $1.5 billion from the total amount had been allotted for buying advanced and modern weapons for the Lebanese Hezbollah.
This amount was poured into an account at the MEAB Bank (bank Middle East and Africa). So far as I personally know this is a violation of the Security Council Resolution 1373 of the United Nations in the ban on aid to organizations that are on the U.N. terrorist list. It is for this reason that the regime’s officials have repeatedly denied this issue.
But if it is proven that the Security Council Resolution 1373 had been violated and the Lebanese Hezbollah had in fact been helped, it can have very serious repercussions for the regime. The regime gave away and gifted billions of dollars to the Lebanese Hezbollah, which I witnessed with my own two eyes but then, in 2004 the regime’s own interior ministry put out an official report that had been prepared for the authorities of the regime that clearly stated that more than 40 million unlucky people in Iran live under the poverty line.
(Hamid-Reza Taraghi, the manager of the MOTALEHFEH political party referring to this report in a February 2004 Jaam’eh-Jam newspaper report, clarified the information and said that in fact the correct statistic was forty-two million people rather than 40 million living under the poverty line).
Hundreds of thousands of educated Iranian youths are unemployed due to lack of sufficient funding for programs to create job opportunities or are not employed in jobs that by no means meet their standard of education. Hundreds of villages and towns and big cities of Iran are deprived of urban facilities such as water pipelines, gas and electricity. Refurbishing roads all over the country, according to officials, will cost all of a half of that $1.5 billion that was gifted to the Lebanese.
The health and medical care conditions in the country can even be sorted out with this same amount. The deteriorating and non-functional foundations of the country’s old telecom system to the chaotic and erratic mobile phone and Internet networks can most definitely be repaired with this amount. While these and thousands of other cases are in dire need of resolving and budgeting, Mr. Khamenei continues to siphon of our money to send money and arms to the Lebanese Hezbollah.” Anonymous

According to received reports, the Islamic regime is encouraging young Arabic-speaking residents from city of Ahvaz (Province of Khuzestan*) to participate in the war in Lebanon alongside Hezbollah against Israeli forces. Each person is being offered approximately $10,000.
The Islamic regime has told the volunteers that since they are Arabic-speakers, their presence in Lebanon will not be conspicuous. Volunteers will first go through a short basic training camp in Iran and then will be dispatched to Lebanon.
Previous reports also indicate that the Islamic regime has also granted full pardons to criminals who are either serving life-in-prison or are on death-row in Iran, in exchange for their volunteering to go to Lebanon. The conditions of prisons in Iran is so deplorable that already 400 prisoners have chosen going to war in Lebanon over staying in the regime’s prisons.

Possible Dutch Link to Den ver ELF-Related Bombings
Police in the US city of Denver are investigating whether there may have been a link between a series of bombs in the city and extreme animal rights activists in the Netherlands .
The investigators say that the explosives used in Den ver are the same as those used by extremist animal rights activists in the Netherlands .
The homemade explosives were reportedly used in the Netherlands in the past to set fire to freight trucks for the transport of livestock.
The police are examining a suspect’s computer to see whether he was working with activists or a terrorist movement, US media reported on Tuesday.
The suspect Grant Barnes (24) has been charged after several bombs were placed under seven SUVs.
The Den ver police and federal investigators had never seen bombs of this particular type before, but discovered examples using precisely the same equipment on a website of the Dierenbevrijdingsfront (Animal Liberation Front).

Activists Working the Late Shift… At the Animal-Abuser’s Home
Determining where battles are fought in a war is crucial in gaining the edge on ultimate victory. When we, as activists, wage war at the homes of animal abusers, the playing field levels off in our favor. It is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain effective street campaigns against massive and faceless corporations, especially when the opposition is holed up in high-rise buildings and secured complexes.
When access to public protest is cut off, bringing the message home isn’t only an alternative; it’s an effective necessity. Attacking the home, making it personal, attaches a face to those responsible for inflicting pain on animals.
This Isn’t Avon Calling…
When we strike at home, the abusers no longer have the comfort of working behind the security blanket of company-subsidized protection. The animal abuser is no longer able to keep work separate from his personal life, creating a host of financial and psychological problems that demonstrate the efficacy of targeting the opposition at home. After all, isn’t it true that “home is where the heart is”?
Everyone has to eat and sleep. Historically, these basic human needs have provided a valuable angle of attack in many successful wars or sieges. Companies will explore alternatives when animal exploitation loses profitability. Animal-abusers will consider another line of work when they can’t sleep without fear of reprisals from activists. The only barrier to effectively targeting our adversaries is our own lack of creativity.
The Work of an Activist Begins “Off the Clock”
It is absolutely imperative that one’s homework is thorough and 100% correct before taking action. Don’t simply rely on an Internet search or a telephone call to confirm your suspicions. Make absolutely sure that the face matches the name and the target is still “in the business.” Make sure that the individual to be targeted currently resides at the location through your own physical confirmation. For example, make sure that John Doe still works at
Company Filth and that Mr. Doe’s address and/or phone number is current. DO NOT simply rely on a telephone call confirming that John Doe lives at 666 Mockingbird Lane . Confirm that your John Doe who lives at 666 Mockingbird Lane IS ALSO the very same John Doe who works at Company Filth.
There are many ways of locating and confirming the home addresses, gyms, churches, clubs, and associations of your target. But the responsibility of discovering and implementing those methods lies with the individual activist. If there is a will, the underground movement has certainly proven that there is a way to achieve our objectives. Be creative, think outside the box and don’t give up at the first block wall in your search.
The methods of locating and confirming the personal information of our adversaries are best kept in some degree of mystery, to be realized by the cells that will immediately use such information. To publish those methods here is to make them available to our adversaries and effectively compromise those techniques from ever being used by activists.
Sleep With One Eye Open
After confirmation, go all out in your efforts. After the first hit, the odds of a second successful second hit are often decreased.
Assume that the first shot is the last shot, so make it count.
John Doe will sleep many restless nights, waiting to catch you on a return visit; so don’t play into his hands. Nervous anticipation and suspense are almost as effective as the action itself, so making him sweat is key to effectively striking at home.
The physical invasion of privacy can be remedied through insurance and security, but the mental invasion and psychological sabotage are long-lasting and incredibly effective.
While economic sabotage is key, psychological warfare is an invaluable tool to stopping animal exploitation. Hit hard and make ’em sweat.
While listing the methods of destruction in a communiqué is important for not only informing the public and educating other activists as to how they can carry on the actions in their own community, the opportunity for screwing with the abuser’s mental state is at hand.
One might want to consider mentioning the night activists looked on as John Doe and his wife watched television reruns on the sofa, unaware of the activists just outside their window.
Activists might want to suggest that John Doe run his sprinklers at night rather than during the day or to inform him that motion detector lights are a waste of money.
Use that previous reconnaissance time as another avenue of publicly invading the private sphere of the animal-abuser, but be mindful to omit details that would jeopardize your cell or your methods of operation that you plan to use in the future.
The more personal, the better. Let him think that nothing is off limits. And don’t forget to make the address public in your communiqué so others can feel free to pay him a future visit.
People cherish their privacy, especially animal-abusing scum. Publishing his address takes away yet another sense of security. Make him feel exposed and vulnerable; keep him up waiting for the other shoe to drop and rub his face in it.
Destroy his property, strip him of his security, and leave him unnerved and vulnerable, feeling like the worthless chump that he is.
Some basic but effective ways of hammering the message home are to:
» Glue the door locks
» Smash out the windows with rocks» Repaint the house exterior by tossing on gallons of a most obnoxious color
» Tell his neighbors that an “Animal-Killer lives here” by spray-painting his garage door
» Pour bleach all over the front lawn
» Tear up the front lawn» Padlock the garage door shut (Many garage doors have a latch on the sides of the door that are fitted for padlocks.
Automatic garage doors aren’t cheap to repair and if he can’t get to work in the morning, he can’t make money.)
» Pour paint thinner or a new coat of paint on the car
» Slash the car tires» Pour corn syrup or sugar into the car’s gas tank
» Cut the phone lines to the house (this is especially aggravating when he wakes up to a trashed house and can’t even call the police to report it)
» Repaint the house interior… Fill glass bottles with paint (or paint thinner) and pitch them through the front windows (they’ll shatter in the living room, creating a big mess)
» Take a sledgehammer and smash up the exterior stucco or wood siding
» Just flip the car over and smash it up
» Turn the hose on (preferably inside an open window)
» When John Doe is on vacation, and there are no animals at home, leave him a pile of ash to return to
» Steal his newspaper (the little things can be the salt in the wound)
Every home is different, so be creative and look to exploit any prospect. The possibilities are endless with some ingenuity.
Most importantly, make sure everything is clean of fingerprints and DNA. Leave nothing behind other than a big mess (or a clean padlock in a particular instance).
When Their Work Keeps Following Them Home
After the identity and home of the animal-abuser has more than adequately been verified and proper reconnaissance has been done, plan out your night’s course of action to the smallest detail.
Have an escape route and emergency rendezvous point planned. Check the surrounding houses to make sure that no neighbors are up and about. Make sure that your target is sound asleep and unsuspecting.
When combining different methods of mischief like gluing locks, spray painting, damaging automobiles, and smashing windows, start nearest the front door and with the quietest actions first. It’s simply not a good idea to smash out a window and then go glue the front door locks or to tear up the lawn and then start spraying messages. Strike fast and hard; then get away fast.
It is imperative that the maximum amount of destruction is planned, as the first attack may make any subsequent attack unsafe. Don’t assume you can just finish up an incomplete job at a later date, but don’t discount one either. If you decide to return, and you should, approach from a different angle and vary your technique as well as the time and day of a subsequent visit.
Let him sweat a little before returning, and just as he feels things are returning to normal, rattle his cage in a big away again. Or if he’s replaced the front windows after your first visit, considering cruising by later that night and shooting them out with a slingshot and marbles. There will be no mistaking the message.
Be creative and seize any unique opportunity that presents itself in your suburban assault. Make every effort to not only destroy property, but to completely dismantle the animal-abuser’s sense of security.
Take every liberty in completely screwing with his head and ensuring that, when leaving the strain of work, he retreats to a strained household. Try pitching his kid’s tricycle through the front window to really get under his skin. He’s a scumbag who profits from the death of sentient beings… all bets are off!
Targeting the home of an animal-abuser not only adversely affects the finances and psychological well-being of the abuser himself, but those with whom he resides. A hard day’s work is bad enough, but when the castle has been ransacked and the marriage is stressed, a reassessment of priorities is inevitable.

Possible Dutch Link to Den ver ELF-Related Bombings
Police in the US city of Denver are investigating whether there may have been a link between a series of bombs in the city and extreme animal rights activists in the Netherlands .
The investigators say that the explosives used in Den ver are the same as those used by extremist animal rights activists in the Netherlands .
The homemade explosives were reportedly used in the Netherlands in the past to set fire to freight trucks for the transport of livestock.
The police are examining a suspect’s computer to see whether he was working with activists or a terrorist movement, US media reported on Tuesday.
The suspect Grant Barnes (24) has been charged after several bombs were placed under seven SUVs.
The Den ver police and federal investigators had never seen bombs of this particular type before, but discovered examples using precisely the same equipment on a website of the Dierenbevrijdingsfront (Animal Liberation Front).

Activists Working the Late Shift… At the Animal-Abuser’s Home
Determining where battles are fought in a war is crucial in gaining the edge on ultimate victory. When we, as activists, wage war at the homes of animal abusers, the playing field levels off in our favor. It is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain effective street campaigns against massive and faceless corporations, especially when the opposition is holed up in high-rise buildings and secured complexes.
When access to public protest is cut off, bringing the message home isn’t only an alternative; it’s an effective necessity. Attacking the home, making it personal, attaches a face to those responsible for inflicting pain on animals.
This Isn’t Avon Calling…
When we strike at home, the abusers no longer have the comfort of working behind the security blanket of company-subsidized protection. The animal abuser is no longer able to keep work separate from his personal life, creating a host of financial and psychological problems that demonstrate the efficacy of targeting the opposition at home. After all, isn’t it true that “home is where the heart is”?
Everyone has to eat and sleep. Historically, these basic human needs have provided a valuable angle of attack in many successful wars or sieges. Companies will explore alternatives when animal exploitation loses profitability. Animal-abusers will consider another line of work when they can’t sleep without fear of reprisals from activists. The only barrier to effectively targeting our adversaries is our own lack of creativity.
The Work of an Activist Begins “Off the Clock”
It is absolutely imperative that one’s homework is thorough and 100% correct before taking action. Don’t simply rely on an Internet search or a telephone call to confirm your suspicions. Make absolutely sure that the face matches the name and the target is still “in the business.” Make sure that the individual to be targeted currently resides at the location through your own physical confirmation. For example, make sure that John Doe still works at
Company Filth and that Mr. Doe’s address and/or phone number is current. DO NOT simply rely on a telephone call confirming that John Doe lives at 666 Mockingbird Lane . Confirm that your John Doe who lives at 666 Mockingbird Lane IS ALSO the very same John Doe who works at Company Filth.
There are many ways of locating and confirming the home addresses, gyms, churches, clubs, and associations of your target. But the responsibility of discovering and implementing those methods lies with the individual activist. If there is a will, the underground movement has certainly proven that there is a way to achieve our objectives. Be creative, think outside the box and don’t give up at the first block wall in your search.
The methods of locating and confirming the personal information of our adversaries are best kept in some degree of mystery, to be realized by the cells that will immediately use such information. To publish those methods here is to make them available to our adversaries and effectively compromise those techniques from ever being used by activists.
Sleep With One Eye Open
After confirmation, go all out in your efforts. After the first hit, the odds of a second successful second hit are often decreased.
Assume that the first shot is the last shot, so make it count.
John Doe will sleep many restless nights, waiting to catch you on a return visit; so don’t play into his hands. Nervous anticipation and suspense are almost as effective as the action itself, so making him sweat is key to effectively striking at home.
The physical invasion of privacy can be remedied through insurance and security, but the mental invasion and psychological sabotage are long-lasting and incredibly effective.
While economic sabotage is key, psychological warfare is an invaluable tool to stopping animal exploitation. Hit hard and make ’em sweat.
While listing the methods of destruction in a communiqué is important for not only informing the public and educating other activists as to how they can carry on the actions in their own community, the opportunity for screwing with the abuser’s mental state is at hand.
One might want to consider mentioning the night activists looked on as John Doe and his wife watched television reruns on the sofa, unaware of the activists just outside their window.
Activists might want to suggest that John Doe run his sprinklers at night rather than during the day or to inform him that motion detector lights are a waste of money.
Use that previous reconnaissance time as another avenue of publicly invading the private sphere of the animal-abuser, but be mindful to omit details that would jeopardize your cell or your methods of operation that you plan to use in the future.
The more personal, the better. Let him think that nothing is off limits. And don’t forget to make the address public in your communiqué so others can feel free to pay him a future visit.
People cherish their privacy, especially animal-abusing scum. Publishing his address takes away yet another sense of security. Make him feel exposed and vulnerable; keep him up waiting for the other shoe to drop and rub his face in it.
Destroy his property, strip him of his security, and leave him unnerved and vulnerable, feeling like the worthless chump that he is.
Some basic but effective ways of hammering the message home are to:
» Glue the door locks
» Smash out the windows with rocks» Repaint the house exterior by tossing on gallons of a most obnoxious color
» Tell his neighbors that an “Animal-Killer lives here” by spray-painting his garage door
» Pour bleach all over the front lawn
» Tear up the front lawn» Padlock the garage door shut (Many garage doors have a latch on the sides of the door that are fitted for padlocks.
Automatic garage doors aren’t cheap to repair and if he can’t get to work in the morning, he can’t make money.)
» Pour paint thinner or a new coat of paint on the car
» Slash the car tires» Pour corn syrup or sugar into the car’s gas tank
» Cut the phone lines to the house (this is especially aggravating when he wakes up to a trashed house and can’t even call the police to report it)
» Repaint the house interior… Fill glass bottles with paint (or paint thinner) and pitch them through the front windows (they’ll shatter in the living room, creating a big mess)
» Take a sledgehammer and smash up the exterior stucco or wood siding
» Just flip the car over and smash it up
» Turn the hose on (preferably inside an open window)
» When John Doe is on vacation, and there are no animals at home, leave him a pile of ash to return to
» Steal his newspaper (the little things can be the salt in the wound)
Every home is different, so be creative and look to exploit any prospect. The possibilities are endless with some ingenuity.
Most importantly, make sure everything is clean of fingerprints and DNA. Leave nothing behind other than a big mess (or a clean padlock in a particular instance).
When Their Work Keeps Following Them Home
After the identity and home of the animal-abuser has more than adequately been verified and proper reconnaissance has been done, plan out your night’s course of action to the smallest detail.
Have an escape route and emergency rendezvous point planned. Check the surrounding houses to make sure that no neighbors are up and about. Make sure that your target is sound asleep and unsuspecting.
When combining different methods of mischief like gluing locks, spray painting, damaging automobiles, and smashing windows, start nearest the front door and with the quietest actions first. It’s simply not a good idea to smash out a window and then go glue the front door locks or to tear up the lawn and then start spraying messages. Strike fast and hard; then get away fast.
It is imperative that the maximum amount of destruction is planned, as the first attack may make any subsequent attack unsafe. Don’t assume you can just finish up an incomplete job at a later date, but don’t discount one either. If you decide to return, and you should, approach from a different angle and vary your technique as well as the time and day of a subsequent visit.
Let him sweat a little before returning, and just as he feels things are returning to normal, rattle his cage in a big away again. Or if he’s replaced the front windows after your first visit, considering cruising by later that night and shooting them out with a slingshot and marbles. There will be no mistaking the message.
Be creative and seize any unique opportunity that presents itself in your suburban assault. Make every effort to not only destroy property, but to completely dismantle the animal-abuser’s sense of security.
Take every liberty in completely screwing with his head and ensuring that, when leaving the strain of work, he retreats to a strained household. Try pitching his kid’s tricycle through the front window to really get under his skin. He’s a scumbag who profits from the death of sentient beings… all bets are off!
Targeting the home of an animal-abuser not only adversely affects the finances and psychological well-being of the abuser himself, but those with whom he resides. A hard day’s work is bad enough, but when the castle has been ransacked and the marriage is stressed, a reassessment of priorities is inevitable.

INDOCTRINATION BY PRO-ISLAM SCHOOLS

- In a recent interview with the Brooklyn Paper Dhabah Almontaser, principal designate of the proposed Khalil Gibran International Academy, stated:
"What will be different [is that] we will be able to infuse historical information into math and science and literature...With any foreign language you engage in, you need to learn the history, culture and customs of the people in order to navigate the language effectively and not offend anyone."
In response to a question of how "historical information" will be infused into "math...science and literature" she said:
"In math, as you know, algebra originated from the Arab world. So, we'll look at the historic background of algebra."
This is indicative of the revisionist pro-Arabist perspective that Khalil Gibran will display under Almontaser's leadership. It will be politicized education reinforced by the coterie of Islamist groups who are affiliated with the school and who will seek similar influence on KGIA's educational methodology.
Almontaser's publicly expressed intent to operate from a culturally biased viewpoint cogently outlines what is wrong with this concept and her assertion that algebra is a creation of Arabic culture is at best flawed.
If there was a "father" of algebra is was Diophantus of Alexandria, a Greek who was born around 200 and died nearly 85 years later. The discipline was influenced by others who were working in this field including Indian mathematicians who developed the idea of zero - it is important to note that Arab supremacists have also attempted to claim ownership of this important concept.
While there can be no doubt that Babylonian [present day Iraq] mathematicians were also working in this area and made contributions, to make the broad claim that "algebra originated from the Arab world" looms as the type of political mindset that will be on full display when and if Khalil Gibran becomes a reality.
This brand of cultural revisionism is reminiscent of the bad old day in the Soviet Union, where all important inventions and contributions to mankind were ascribed and attributed to Marxists and or Soviets.
In the present context, it demonstrates just how ideologically driven the seemingly innocuous teaching of a language/culture will become once put into practice, given the players associated with this project.
Because of Mayor Bloomberg’s heavy-handed presence in this matter [assigning Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott the job of enforcer] and with DOE's attempts to steamroll Boerum Hill's parents into submission, the public has become rightly skeptical over statements coming out of “official" sources.
There is a lockdown mentality that defines the DOE's attitude at this point with spokesperson Meyers having failed to answer numerous telephone and email requests for clarifications regarding Khalil Gibran from these writers.
New York’s DOE has even taken the unprecedented step of gagging its own administrators, instructing them to make no public comments on KGIA. The parent of a seventh grader at the Boerum Hill School stated:
“No one wants the Gibran Academy here, and yet the Department of Education seems intent on shoving it down our throats regardless of community reaction. Just today, the DOE made it clear that they considered the issue non-negotiable. I have also learned from [name deleted] that the Department of Education has put a gag order on our school administrators, who have been instructed not to talk with the press."

To assert that the issue of teaching Arabic is not germane to this matter, please consider that this subject is of such high importance that KGIA's school day will be extended, with Arabic being taught for two hours a day, between 3 and 5 PM, making it by far the most intensive aspect of Khalil Gibran's curriculum.
As Almontaser states:
"we're very serious about them developing this language."
She goes on to claim that, "Arabic is one of the most sought-after languages in the entire world."
True enough, the FBI, CIA and other guardians of national security are constantly looking for Arabic language speakers.
Alan note: as are all Islamists - since the Koran has to be read in Arabic to be "valid" according to Islam. As Arabic is the only language accepted by Allah, it is therefore an obligation for everyone in the world to speak it and convert to Islam and join the global Moslem caliphate the Jihadists strive to achieve.

Given Almontaser's antipathy towards the war on terror and the Iraq conflict, for her to suggest that KGIA is justifiable in light of an email that she claims to have received from an American soldier in Iraq stating that there were not enough Arabic speakers in the service -

Almontaser will bend reality to accomplish her goal.
Looking at the level of discussion surrounding the question of this school, especially that coming out of DOE, the Mayor’s office and the teacher’s unions, the defects of the multicultural/diversity at any price mindset become apparent.
This philosophy hamstrings intellectual exchange in such matters because it considers asking questions as to cultural predilections and relevant historical fact outside the bounds of propriety, viewing them as inherently racist.
This is the reason why discussions within Boerum Hill's PTA have been circumscribed within the ridiculous confines of space utilization instead of broaching the verboten subtext, which is the link between Islamic fundamentalism, Arab history and terrorism.
In New York, the city that suffered the brunt of the September 11 attacks, it's now the official party line that the obvious must be ignored.
Fact Dhabah Almontaser denies that Arabs and Muslims were involved in 9/11.
Fact Dhabah Almontaser has decried the use of Arab informants whose efforts have prevented terrorist attacks.
Fact a long list of people and organizations which are pushing KGIA harbor similar sentiments.
It's plainly wrong to equate public schools which feature Korean, Haitian Creole or Mandarin language instruction with one teaching Arabic and espousing Arabic cultural supremacy, such as the proposition that the mathematical discipline of algebra originated within the Arab world.
Furthermore it's foolish to ignore the fact that Arabic is the language of the Quran, and that fluency in Arabic is looked upon by those who engage in da'wa as a prerequisite to greater understanding of Islam and as such is highly supported by Islamists worldwide.
Finally there is the realization that there are as Almontaser states, "millions of dollars in federal funding that are available to education systems to teach Arabic."
At this late stage the first rule of political behavior - "follow the money" - becomes operative.
New York's educational system is crumbling under the weight of fuzzy, diversity based education, test scores indicate little progress in bridging the gap shown between domestic students and those outside the United States.
This should not come as a surprise.
Randi Weingarten - a new and powerful supporter of KGIA - the president of the New York City teacher's union, was recently in the words of the New York Times, "left flummoxed by a question about fractions on a radio show."
Weingarten was confronted by the pop-quiz while appearing on a WNYC radio talk show during which host, Mike Pesca asked her, "What is 1/3 plus 1/4?" The teacher's union president was unable to answer the question and stated that she would have to write the problem [sixth grade level] down on paper before she could answer it.
Another guest on the program quickly and correctly provided the answer, 7/12ths.
Perhaps no shame should accrue to this lapse since most of Weingarten's charges - New York City’s school children - display the same level of ignorance.
During testimony given at the City Council Education Committee Meeting, November 5th, 2003, by professor Stanley Ocken, Dept. Mathematics, City College of City University of New York he stated:
"New York City K-12 mathematics education is in chaos…New York City high schools are graduating an appallingly large percentage of students who cannot correctly perform the most basic operations with fractions, decimals, and percents."
So are we to assume that now that Almontaser's political philosophy is laid bare and that parents are speaking out over having KGIA thrust "down their throats" that the question must resolve instead on the potential influx of millions from the federal government?
Of what benefit to the general public school population will showering a madrassah with federal largesse? Will these funds make students of KGIA "more equal" than their peers?
An item in the New York Times' May 15 coverage of the Khalil Gibran controversy has provoked little comment, "But if it does open...the Khalil Gibran school may struggle to fill its available seats. As of yesterday, no students were enrolled. And with only weeks left before classes are dismissed for the summer, most fifth graders already knew which school they would attend in the fall."
Can this be?
Apparently so, since despite a massive effort by New York’s Dept of Education - which sent letters to the parents of the city's fifth graders soliciting their participation in Khalil Gibran's scheduled September sixth grade opening - there have been no takers so far and the current school year will end in a matter of days.
What New York City's parents are faced with here, outside of the already voluminously annotated structural/conceptual/security issues associated with the proposed KGIA is that this may very well be the case of a demand without a genuine mandate.
The forces which have coagulated around this issue are a Whitman's Sampler of the type of players who are hastening the West’s ethical crisis:
1. Islamists of the ilk of Dhabah Almontaser and the AAFSC.
2. Checkbook multiculturalists who promote this philosophy using the money of others.
3. Leftist/progressives who have found common cause with the Islamists.
4. Members of the educational elite and the leaders of the teacher's unions.
5. Mayor Bloomberg and similarly motivated politicians.
6. Post modernist, clerics and members of their congregations who no longer believe in anything outside of a vague sense moral relativism.
It is these groups and their adherents that are telling Boerum Hill’s parents to ignore the obvious; that a school steeped in Arabic culture and run by fundies will inevitably become a madrassah because of the inseparable relationship between Islam, Arab culture and the language in which the Quran is written.
Multiculturalism is the DOE's hole card because it's a way of putting off limits the discussion of the most important aspect of this controversy, to do otherwise is to face accusations of bigotry, racism and Islamophobia.
It is the DOE's intent to render mute those who oppose this project.
Dhabah Almontaser and her allies have created a cottage industry out of the wreckage of 9/11, pushing the myth that the events of that day had nothing to do with Islam and Arab culture and that Muslims are the party most aggrieved by those terrorist attacks.
On its face this is a preposterous assertion, but an examination of Almontaser's motivation is now officially verboten.
If this is the kind of world you wish to bring your children up in, then by all means support KGIA.
If on the other hand you feel you can tolerate being seen
by some as a bigot you simply can't ignore what is going on here, your eyes are not lying.
The post modernists are clever adversaries; they attack both the foundation of this society as well as its ability to defend itself.
Philosophy and motivation aside, there are other important aspects of KGIA that have yet to be dealt with, they center on procedures that will be established if the school becomes a reality.
1. How will the prayer "requirements" of KGIA's Muslim students be accommodated? Will there be praying at KGIA?
2. Will Halal food be served in the cafeteria?
3. What will be the reaction to someone eating a pork or ham sandwich, if they are in close proximity to one of KGIA's students?
4. Will KGIA's students be part of the general school population or sequestered and separate?
5. Regardless of whether prayer will be permitted formally at KGIA or informally, how will wudu, or the process of ritual washing - which must precede prayer - take place? Will this be done in the public lavatories?
6. Will there need to be concessions made in other Boerum Hill's programs such as sports, to accommodate the "modesty" requirements of this influx of Muslim students?
7. What will be the legal response by groups such as the Council on Islamic Relations [CAIR] to the normal kind of taunting behavior that school kids often engage in? For example, what will happen if someone says "Osama" within earshot of a KGIA student?
8. Are the parents of Boerum Hill School prepared to defend the institution against such lawsuits and deal with the resultant bad publicity?

organizations will constantly foment:
1. On 11 April, 2007 responding to a dare, a Lewiston Middle School [Maine] student placed ham on a cafeteria table where Muslim Somali students were eating. Muslims consider pork to be unclean and the "offending student" was suspended from school. A report was filed by the school's resource officer Bill Brochu which "was sent to the Attorney General's Office for review for possible prosecution...because the ham incident was perceived as a hate/bias crime."
2. During April of 2004 a 12-year-old Muslim girl said four boys accosted her in the hallways of Congress Middle School in Boynton Beach, Fla., calling her "Osama."
Though it is doubtful that the incident ever happened - the girl is unable to identify her "assailants" - the incident was referred to law enforcement nonetheless for potential prosecution as a "hate" crime.
The Council on American Islamic Relations [CAIR, the Saudi funded Hamas front group] alerted the media, insisting that the students needed to undergo "sensitivity" training, aka da'wa.

If Khalil Gibran is eventually established, not only will it quickly become a madrassah, it will loom as a constant source of controversy, legal action and turmoil. The initial concession to the Islamists - an act of dhimmitude - who are behind this project will serve to embolden them. KGIA will then be used as a point around which to organize even more blatant incursions of Sharia into the mainstream society.
KGIA has everything to do with Sharia and indoctrination. It's not about education.
This institution will serve as a fortified fundamentalist outpost buoyed by federal and philanthropic funding such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Given its Arabist organizing principles and externally generated funding sources KGIA will as time goes by be less and less under the control of the New York Department of Education, eventually drifting into a state a semi-autonomy.
Establishing KGIA would set a dangerous precedent, it stands in opposition to the most basic principles of public education. It will constitute a divisive force that must not be allowed to go forward.

The discipline was influenced by others who were working in this field including Indian mathematicians who developed the idea of zero - it is important to note that Arab supremacists have also attempted to claim ownership of this important concept.
While there can be no doubt that Babylonian [present day Iraq] mathematicians were also working in this area and made contributions, to make the broad claim that "algebra originated from the Arab world" looms as the type of political mindset that will be on full display when and if Khalil Gibran becomes a reality.
